Nathalie Westerveld

Biography 

My name is Nathalie Westerveld, I am a photography student at the University of Arts in Utrecht (HKU)

My inspiration in each project stems from a personal fascination, and is linked to my own identity or to events that I personally experience.

I deal with issues like; depression under a certain group / or with a person, following a traditional family, contemporary cultures and nostalgia.

I take a small piece from these large subjects.
The viewer can relate to a character or feeling that I convey. And that is what I want to achieve in my work.

Not only photography plays a big role in my work, but I also use, among other things;
archival images, collages, video installations, texts and I always research presentation possibilities to show my opinion to the viewer.
